Uplexa
Context
Rebuild of uPlexa's official website — a privacy-focused cryptocurrency mining via IoT devices. Solo volunteer project, after joining the community as a dev and user — the old site was dated and the team wanted something more professional and cleaner.
My approach
A crypto vitrine has two jobs: explain the project (privacy, IoT mining) to a tech audience and build trust. Full Next.js rebuild with i18n for an international community — the classic sections of a serious crypto project: presentation, IoT mining, roadmap, team, wallet / exchange.
- Full Next.js rebuild — moving from a basic vitrine to a more professional, cleaner site that holds up for a serious crypto project.
- Native Next.js i18n to reach uPlexa's international community.
- Volunteer contribution: a project where the brief is the wish to do better for something I believed in — no client spec.
Stack & technical choices
Next.js without Tailwind — more traditional CSS to keep the vitrine light. Next-side i18n for the multilingual layer. A deliberately simple stack: for a volunteer community site, the priority is that another dev can pick it up without friction.
Outcome & takeaways
Still live on uplexa.com. On a personal level, a community contribution project.
